waiting... a film on the plight of hapless children and women whose husbands are missing in Kashmir
is being screened in Delhi.

The film is directed by Shabnam Ara & Atul Gupta. It is about 39 minutes long.

You are welcome to come and please do pass this information onto others.

7th October, Saturday, 7 pm Gulmohur hall, India Habitat Centre.
The UNI (UNITED NEWS OF INDIA) board has inducted the Zee group chairman and his associatesinto the board. The Zee group is thus poised to takeover the UNI.

This has been done despite the widespread apprehensions that a newsagency which was set up as a Section 25 company should not come under the control of any single business house.

There are grounds to believe that this transaction is inimical to the future of the UNI as a newsagency and for its role as a premier news agency. The Government of India has the power to regulate the affairs of thecompany under the law. We urge upon the government to intervene in the matter to prevent the surreptitious change in the management in which most of the other shareholders have not been taken into confidence.
